How to Walk Away from the Black Jack Table
If you're a black jack player who plays online black jack on a consistent basis then it's important that you know when to walk away from the black jack table. If you don't know when to get up and walk away then you'll have a hard time managing your bankroll and remaining in the profits. One horrible day could deplete your entire bankroll if you allow it too and you need to know when to stop. The same goes for when you're winning in black jack, if you don't leave when you're up then you'll never become a long-term winner.
The most important thing when you're playing blackjack is minimizing losses and maximizing winnings which can be more difficult then it seems. In order to win over the long-term you'll need to make sure that you leave the casino a winner more times then you do a loser. One important thing to remember is that you will most likely win more on your good days then what you lose on your bad days. We're now going to take a quick peak at some tips for understanding how to walk away from the black jack table.
When Winning
• When you're winning at the blackjack tables you can't just get up and leave because you don't know how long your streak can last. The important thing to do when you're winning is too cash chips in to the dealer for bigger amounts and place them in your pocket. For instance if you're up $100 at a $5 table then you might want to get a $50 chip to put in your pocket. You should do this every time you get up $100 and then once you lose the $50 you have as a buffer you should get up and leave the casino a winner. Don't reach into your pockets and play with the chips you put away when your changes because chances are you'll end up losing all the chips.
• You need to have the power and courage to leave a blackjack table when you get up money. The dealer might try to talk you out of it, but make sure you never listen to any of that talk. When you win it's important that you leave the casino a winner. It's really upsetting when you've been winning all day and then you blow it all once you're luck changes, so don't allow this to happen to you and leave when you're up.
When Losing
• Some days just won't go your way and you need to make sure that you can keep your losses to a minimum. The best way to do this is to only allow yourself to lose 20 units on any given day. If you lose 20 units on a given day then you're not having any luck at all and you shouldn't make it any worse by losing more money. Get up and walk away if you're ever down 20 units, this will minimize your bad days and will allow your good days to payoff.
• Don't increase your bets because you're losing either, for instance if you're playing at a $5 table and are down $100 don't start betting $20+ on hands to try and win your money back. It could work and you might win the big bets which will help you break even quicker, but it can also eat up your bankroll a lot quicker and make for an early exit.
• Never go to your bank or wallet once you lose your day's bankroll because if you do this then you have no power over your gambling and it will cost you. It might not cost you today, but down the road I can assure you that you'll wish you never did one day when you lose hundreds or thousands of dollars.
